TAMPA http://www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-byron-murphy-jersey , Fla. (AP) — season is uncertain following a single-car accident last week near his home in South Florida. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers said Tuesday that the club’s medical staff is conducting a “thorough evaluation” of the star defensive end, who was treated and released from a hospital after a single-car crash on May 2.ESPN reported that Pierre-Paul, obtained from the New York Giants in a trade in 2018, may have suffered a neck fracture that could sideline him all of next season.“As we stated last week following the news of Jason’s auto accident, our immediate concern was for both Jason and his passenger,” Bucs general manager Jason Licht said in a statement.“While Jason was treated and released in South Florida the same day of the accident, we wanted to ensure that our medical team had an opportunity to perform a thorough evaluation here in Tampa, and that process is currently ongoing,” Licht added.Pierre-Paul, who was not cited in the crash, had 12½ sacks last season to become the first Tampa Bay player to have 10 or more in a season since Simeon Rice in 2005.It was also the most sacks the 10th-year pro has had in a season since suffering a serious hand injury in a July 4 fireworks accident in 2015. EAGAN Andy Isabella Jersey , Minn. (AP) — Kyle Rudolph’s value to the Minnesota Vikings could easily be taken for granted at this stage of his career, given his streak of 61 consecutive games started that’s the longest active run by a tight end in the NFL.Whether his contributions have been fully appreciated or not, Rudolph has continually carried a significant presence for the team on and off the field.Three quarters of the way through the 2018 schedule, Rudolph is on pace for the second-most statistically productive season of his career with 46 receptions for 463 yards, trailing only 2016. His catch rate of 76.7 percent out of 60 targets is his highest since he was a second-round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2011.Rudolph’s durability is at the forefront of his player portfolio these days. Attitude, intelligence and awareness have long been cited as strengths by his coaches and teammates. But any evaluation of the 6-foot-6, 265-pound Rudolph inevitably circles back to those oven mitts he has long used to haul in all those passes in traffic.“If the ball is in his general direction, he catches it. He brings it in one way or another, makes the tough catch,” quarterback Kirk Cousins said. “That’s a trait that I really appreciate. He’s proven it time and time again, so I’m excited to just continue to put the ball in his general area and let him bring it in.”Rudolph collected only two receptions in each of the two games preceding the game against Green Bay on Nov. 25.Coincidentally or not Brian Burns Jersey , the offense was ordinary at best on those days, a win against Detroit and a loss at Chicago. During the week leading up to the Packers game, Rudolph met with coach Mike Zimmer to air his concern, not out of self-importance but rather to reiterate his confidence in being able to help the team move the ball and score once it nears the end zone. Then Rudolph had seven catches by halftime, as the Vikings went on to beat Green Bay for their most important win in more than a month.“I felt like I could help our team and it kind of clicked there,” Rudolph said. With 39 touchdown receptions, Rudolph holds the career Vikings record for tight ends. He has 101 career starts, entering Minnesota’s game at Seattle on Monday night.“I still feel like I have a lot of football left in me, hopefully another 100,” Rudolph said. Many families around the Minnesota area would sure appreciate that. Rudolph was announced on Thursday as the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for community service.Rudolph and his wife, Jordan http://www.panthersfootballauthentic.com/greg-little-jersey-authentic , have led and funded outreach at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital for sick kids enduring treatment. The Vikings produced a video celebrating the honor , featuring interviews with children, parents and staff who’ve been affected by his effort as well as an emotional Rudolph crying as he read their thank you letters to him.“Getting to know these people, getting to know their families, being welcomed into their families, we say all the time, ‘Some of our happiest memories are when we get to reconnect with these families once they’re out of the hospital,'” Rudolph said.
MIAMI (AP) — H. Wayne Huizenga Dexter Williams Jersey , a college dropout who built a business empire that included Blockbuster Entertainment, has died. He was 80.Huizenga (HY’-zing-ah) died Thursday night at his home, said Valerie Hinkell, a longtime assistant. The cause was cancer, said Bob Henninger, executive vice president of Huizenga Holdings.Starting with a single garbage truck in 1968, Huzienga built Waste Management Inc. into a Fortune 500 company. He purchased independent sanitation engineering companies, and by the time he took the company public in 1972, he had completed the acquisition of 133 small-time haulers. By 1983, Waste Management was the largest waste disposal company in the United States. The business model worked again with Blockbuster Video, which he started in 1985 and built into the leading movie rental chain nine years later. In 1996, he formed AutoNation and built it into a Fortune 500 company.Huizenga was founding owner of baseball’s Florida Marlins and the NHL’s Florida Panthers — expansion teams that played their first games in 1993. He bought the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and their stadium for $168 million in 1994 from the children of founder Joe Robbie but had sold all three teams by 2009.“Wayne Huizenga was a seminal figure in the cultural history of South Florida,” current Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. “He completely changed the landscape of the region’s sports scene. … Sports fans throughout the region owe him a debt of thanks.”https://twitter.com/MiamiDolphins/status...659838861312The Marlins won the 1997 World Series, and the Panthers reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 1996 Max Scharping Jersey , but Huizenga’s beloved Dolphins never reached a Super Bowl while he owned the team.“If I have one disappointment, the disappointment would be that we did not bring a championship home,” Huizenga said shortly after he sold the Dolphins to Ross. “It’s something we failed to do.”Huizenga earned an almost cult-like following among business investors who watched him build Blockbuster Entertainment into the leading video rental chain by snapping up competitors. He cracked Forbes’ list of the 100 richest Americans, becoming chairman of Republic Services, one of the nation’s top waste management companies, and AutoNation, the nation’s largest automotive retailer. In 2013, Forbes estimated his wealth at $2.5 billion. For a time, Huizenga was also a favorite with South Florida sports fans, drawing cheers and autograph seekers in public. The crowd roared when he danced the hokeypokey on the field during an early Marlins game. He went on a spending spree to build a veteran team that won the World Series in the franchise’s fifth year. But his popularity plummeted when he ordered the roster dismantled after that season. He was frustrated by poor attendance and his failure to swing a deal for a new ballpark built with taxpayer money. Many South Florida fans never forgave him for breaking up the championship team. Huizenga drew boos when introduced at Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino’s retirement celebration in 2000 and kept a lower public profile after that.In 2009, Huizenga said he regretted ordering the Marlins’ payroll purge.“We lost $34 million the year we won the World Series, and I just said, `You know what, I’m not going to do that,'” Huizenga said. “If I had it to do over again http://www.texansauthorizedshops.com/authentic-kahale-warring-jersey , I’d say, `OK, we’ll go one more year.'”He sold the Marlins in 1999 to John Henry, and sold the Panthers in 2001, unhappy with rising NHL player salaries and the stock price for the team’s public company.Tributes from three sports and beyond poured in, reflecting the range of his reach.“Saddened to hear about the passing of successful entrepreneur and Great Floridian Wayne Huizenga,” Gov. Rick Scott tweeted. “He had a tremendous impact on our state and the world of business.”The Marlins released a statement describing Huizenga as “the original Florida Marlin,” and said he “will be remembered as much for his contributions to South Florida professional sports as he was for his many charitable endeavors in the surrounding community.”Huizenga’s first sports love was the Dolphins — he had been a season-ticket holder since their first season in 1966. But he fared better in the NFL as a businessman than as a sports fan.He turned a nifty profit by selling the Dolphins and their stadium for $1.1 billion, nearly seven times what he paid to become sole owner. But he knew the bottom line in the NFL is championships, and his Dolphins perennially came up short.Huizenga earned a reputation as a hands-off owner and won raves from many loyal employees, even though he made six coaching changes. He eased Pro Football Hall of Famer Don Shula into retirement in early 1996, and Jimmy Johnson, Dave Wannstedt, interim coach Jim Bates, Nick Saban Cullen Gillaspia Jersey , Cam Cameron and Tony Sparano followed as coach.Johnson tweeted: “A great man, one of the nicest individuals I have ever known, Wayne Huizenga passed away. RIP.”Harry Wayne Huizenga was born in the Chicago suburbs on Dec. 29, 1937, to a family of garbage haulers. He began his business career in Pompano Beach in 1962, driving a garbage truck from 2 a.m. to noon each day for $500 a month. One customer successfully sued Huizenga, saying that in an argument over a delinquent account, Huizenga injured him by grabbing his testicles — an allegation Huizenga always denied.“I never did that. The guy was a deputy cop. It was his word against mine, a young kid,” he told Fortune magazine in 1996.Huizenga was a five-time recipient of Financial World magazine’s “CEO of the Year” award, and was the Ernst & Young “2005 World Entrepreneur of the Year.”Regarding his business acumen, Huzienga said: “You just have to be in the right place at the right time. It can only happen in America.”In 1960, he married Joyce VanderWagon. Together they had two children, Wayne Jr. and Scott. They divorced in 1966. Wayne married his second wife, Marti Goldsby Tytus Howard Jersey , in 1972. She died in 2017.A memorial service will be held Thursday — opening day for the Marlins, the team Huizenga founded 25 years ago. RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Offensive lineman George Fant and defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson both signed their restricted free agent contracts with the Seattle Seahawks on the first day of the team’s offseason workout program.Fant and Jefferson finalized their deals Monday. Fant signed a second-round tender worth $3.095 million for the upcoming season. Jefferson signed an original-round tender that will pay him more than $2 million. Jefferson was a fifth-round pick.Fant has played both tackle positions during his time in Seattle and last year regularly served as a sixth offensive lineman reporting as an extra tight end. Fant even had one catch for 9 yards last season.Jefferson appeared in all 16 games last season for Seattle with 12 starts. He had 25 total tackles and three sacks in a breakout season after seeing limited action in his first two years with the Seahawks.Seattle also signed nine exclusive rights free agents: LB Austin Calitro, LB Emmanuel Ellerbee, C Joey Hunt, DE Branden Jackson, S Shalom Luani, RB J.D. McKissic, LS Tyler Ott, CB Kalan Reed and G Jordan Simmons.
EAST RUTHERFORD http://www.cowboyscheapauthenticstore.com/trysten-hill-jersey-cheap , N.J. (AP) — ith Houston’s Keke Coutee and New York’s Quincy Enunwa inactive because of injuries. Both Coutee (hamstring) and Enunwa (ankle) had been previously ruled out for the game Saturday.Texans wide receiver Vyncint Smith is also inactive, as are running back D’Onta Foreman, cornerback Deante Burton, offensive tackle Roderick Johnson and defensive ends Carlos Watkins and Joel Heath.Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson (foot), running back Elijah McGuire (ankle) and linebackers Jordan Jenkins (shoulder/ankle) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (shoulder) are all active after being listed as questionable.Inactive for New York are Enunwa, wide receiver Deontay Burnett Drew Lock Jersey , linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi, offensive lineman Ben Braden and defensive backs Derrick Jones and Jeremy Clark. The Jets also have all three quarterbacks — Sam Darnold, Josh McCown and Davis Webb — active for the first time. RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Bradley McDougald’s versatility has proven to be one of his most valuable assets since joining the Seattle Seahawks before the 2017 season. While he’s still willing to use that adaptability to get on the field, McDougald does have a preference on where he would like to play in Seattle’s defense.“I’m fully prepared to come in and play strong safety,” McDougald said. “I’m willing to compete and battle with whoever. I can do both but I prefer to play in the box closer to the line of scrimmage. There is more for me to do there in the run game and man-to-man coverages.”During his time in Seattle http://www.broncoscheapauthenticstore.com/dre_mont-jones-jersey-cheap , McDougald has risen from being a little hyped free agent signing to one of the most important pieces of the defense. He’s started 25 of the 32 regular-season games he’s played with the Seahawks, splitting time between strong safety and free safety. Last season, McDougald started 14 games at strong safety and a pair at free safety. But with Seattle drafting safety Marquise Blair and safety/cornerback Ugo Amadi this year, it’s opened up the option of moving McDougald around.“I’m always willing to do whatever to make the team work and be an asset for the team, but I definitely intend to play in the box,” he said.McDougald has been a spectator for most of the offseason program after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn patellar tendon. McDougald suffered the injury in Week 8 last season against Detroit and managed the pain and discomfort through the final half of the season, when he had 36 tackles http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/shareef-miller-jersey-cheap , one interception and one forced fumble over the final eight games. McDougald said he was told there wasn’t much risk for a complete tear by continuing to play, it was more about how much discomfort he could handle.“I was willing to show the team I could play through a little injury,” he said. “We had to do some Band-aiding and a lot of resting. I didn’t get to practice as much as I wanted to, I didn’t get to see as many looks as I wanted to but I was still able to go out there and compete on Sundays, which was most important.”McDougald and the athletic training staff opted to go into the offseason trying to avoid surgery. But when McDougald felt he wasn’t improving as fast as he wanted, surgery became the option.“The plan didn’t feel right in my heart and I kind of suggested ‘what about an operation?’ The rehab time is quick, I feel like my body recovers quick and that’s the route that we went. They came up with a plan Zach Brown Jersey , we executed it for a while, I just didn’t feel like I was healing fast enough.”McDougald seems to be on track to be ready when training camp begins in late July. He has recently started running and cutting at full speed.“I was playing through a lot of pain, a lot of grief, but I feel like I’m in a much better situation right now,” McDougald said. “My knee feels good, my body feels good. I’m ready to compete.”
New England’s prevent defense and crossed the goal line on the game’s final play last week Darnell Savage Jr. Jersey , the Dolphins and their fans went wild with delight. Not only did they defeat those long-despised Patriots and prevent them from clinching the division title, but they did so with one of the most improbable touchdowns this unpredictable sport can produce. Now, after pulling off that pass-toss-toss-run sequence that covered 69 yards for a 34-33 victory in Miami, the Dolphins have to hit the road to Minnesota. They’ll face a sputtering Vikings team trying to keep hold of a spot in the playoffs in one of the NFL’s most daunting stadiums for opponents. But their greatest challenge might actually be figuring out how to move past the euphoria of that astounding finish and rekindle anew the emotional energy they’ll need for another win.Article continues below ...“Honestly, I’m just trying to turn the page and get ready for Minnesota,” said quarterback Ryan Tannehill, whose throw to Kenny Stills near midfield preceded a lateral to DeVante Parker and another one to Drake, who raced the remaining 52 yards for the score. “It was a pretty high high there, and a lot of hoopla around it, but at the end of the day, we still have a lot of work to do in this season.”The winning touchdown was quickly branded as the “Miami Miracle ,” which sure sounds familiar to Minnesota. The Vikings, of course, beat New Orleans in their divisional-round playoff game last season on a last-play, 61-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs made possible when Saints safety Marcus Williams whiffed on his tackle attempt to allow Diggs to pivot and speed away through the open field. The following week, with the prospect of playing the Super Bowl on home turf tantalizingly close, the Vikings fell flat in the NFC championship game in Philadelphia. Months after the 38-7 loss to the Eagles, coach Mike Zimmer acknowledged he underestimated the emotional toll even in victory that the “Minneapolis Miracle” might have had on his players.Asked this week about the key to keeping a team grounded coming off such an exhilarating game, Zimmer said, “I’m not going to tell them that.”This time, it’s up to Dolphins coach Adam Gase to figure that out.“We really don’t have a choice. We’re in survival mode, as far as every game is big for us. We have to do everything we can to try to win this one,” Gase said. “We don’t have time to get caught up in last week.”Here are some other key angles to follow for the gameLAYOFF PICTUREThe Dolphins (7-6) Elgton Jenkins Jersey , before the tiebreaking criteria comes into play, are even with Baltimore, Indianapolis and Tennessee for the AFC’s second wild-card spot. Though the Dolphins are still alive in the AFC East, the Patriots have a two-game lead with only three games left. The Vikings (6-6-1) still control the second wild-card spot in the NFC despite losing three of their last four games, ahead of three 6-7 teams: Carolina, Philadelphia and Washington. Chicago will clinch the NFC North title with one more win, or one more loss by the Vikings.TANNEHILL TAKING OFFSince returning from a shoulder injury, Tannehill has posted a 100-plus passer rating in three consecutive games, the longest such streak of his career. His 105.7 rating for the season would be the second best in team history behind Dan Marino (108.9) in 1984 when the Dolphins reached the Super Bowl.“The goal is just to constantly improve,” Tannehill said. “Learning from your past mistakes, and with where I’m at in my career, I feel like I should be playing my best football. I think I’m playing solid football. Obviously I still have room for improvement and want to keep pushing myself to keep playing better.”The 30-year-old Tannehill’s salary cap hit in 2019 would be $26.6 million, leaving the franchise a decision whether to bring him back next year. He has a 12-4 record in his past 16 starts, but has had a series of injuries in his career.“They’re a different offense with him in there, without a doubt,” Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards said.WELCOME ADDITIONSRunning back Brandon Bolden and wide receiver Brice Butler, both unemployed at the end of training camp, have given Gase’s offense a needed boost.Bolden, fourth on the depth chart behind Drake, Frank Gore and Kalen Ballage, had touchdown runs of 54 yards and 6 yards in his only carries last week against his former team. Butler caught a 23-yard pass for his first score of the year. Both players were picked up by the Dolphins after being discarded elsewhere, Bolden by the Patriots and Butler by Dallas. They’ve helped stem the loss of multi-purpose threats Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant to season-ending injuries.“It’s not easy to do,” Tannehill said Jace Sternberger Jersey , “but you have to give credit to coach Gase and his ‘evil genius’ mind of just figuring out ways to keep the advantage and keep moving guys around and use guys to the best of their ability.”SEEING DOUBLEAfter topping 100 receiving yards in each of the first eight games for the Vikings, Adam Thielen has reached that mark only once in the last five games with an increased presence by opposing safeties around both him and wide receiver Stefon Diggs.“Whether it’s one guy guarding us or two guys guarding us,” Thielen said, “we have to get open.”STILL SINGLEThe Vikings can only win a maximum of nine regular-season games this year, leaving them short of double digits for the 13th time in 18 seasons since coach Dennis Green was fired. They got there in 2017 (13-3) and 2015 (11-5) with Zimmer, in 2012 under coach Leslie Frazier (10-6), and in 2009 (12-4) and 2008 (10-6) under coach Brad Childress. ATLANTA (AP) — The Baltimore defense made life miserable for Matt Ryan and the Falcons‘ offense — and gave rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson plenty of room for error. The Ravens turned in a dominating defensive performance, limiting Atlanta to its fewest yards in almost two decades while Jackson guided Baltimore to its third straight victory, 26-16 on Sunday. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, making his third straight start and first on the road, completed only 12 of 21 passes for 125 yards but did plenty of damage with his legs. He carried 17 times for 75 yards, including a 13-yard scoring run in the first quarter that turned out to be the Ravens’ lone offensive touchdown.Article continues below ...Not much offense was needed. Not the way the Ravens played on the other side of the line.Baltimore held the Falcons to 131 total yards — Atlanta’s worst showing since a 105-yard effort against San Francisco on Dec. 12, 1999 .“Our defense, they’re rolling,” Jackson said. The Ravens sacked Matt Ryan three times — one of which forced a fumble that Tavon Young returned 11 yards for a touchdown to seal the victory midway through the fourth quarter. Baltimore held a nearly 2-to-1 edge in time of possession (39:39-20:21) and limited the Falcons to 2 of 9 on third-down conversions. When the Falcons went for it on fourth-and-1 at midfield, Ito Smith had barely taken the handoff when he was swarmed over by the Ravens for a 1-yard loss. Atlanta finished with just 34 yards rushing on 15 carries.“The defensive line did a great job of containing the run,” linebacker C.J. Mosley said. “Once a defense gets a team one-dimensional, that’s when you can definitely go to work on their offense.”For Ryan, it was the fewest passing yards in a game he played from start to finish in his 11-year career. The only times he threw for fewer yards were in 2009, when he passed for 15 yards against Tampa Bay before being knocked out of the game with a toe injury , and a 106-yard performance in the 2011 regular-season finale, also against the Buccaneers, when the Falcons built a big lead and rested their starters heading into the playoffs.“We never really got anything going Dexter Williams Jersey ,” Ryan said. “That makes it tough when you really are not moving it and you’re letting them kind of dictate the game. That’s a tough pill to swallow.”The Ravens (7-5) have bolstered their AFC wild-card position since Jackson took over at quarterback for the injured Joe Flacco. The rookie had some shaky moments — and left for one series to be checked for a possible concussion after getting hit in a head by a teammate — but he was good enough to send the Falcons (4-8) to their fourth straight loss.“I wanted to get back out on the field and help my team win,” Jackson said.Justin Tucker connected on field goals of 41, 21, 45 and 47 yards. The Falcons, mired in their longest losing streak since a six-game skid in 2015, played before thousands of empty seats at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and heard plenty of boos with the clock winding down.“This is as challenged as we’ve been in a while, certainly since I’ve been here,” said Dan Quinn, in his fourth season as the Falcons coach. The only excitement was provided by defensive end Vic Beasley, who picked up a fumble after Grady Jackson knocked the ball loose from Jackson. Beasley took off on a 74-yard return , huffing and puffing toward the end but finding enough energy to spike the ball over the goalposts, giving the Falcons a short-lived 10-7 lead. The Ravens tied it up before halftime and dominated the final two quarters, outgaining Atlanta 193-44.The Falcons finally scored their lone offensive touchdown on Ryan’s 1-yard touchdown pass to Austin Hooper with 4:18 remaining, getting a big assist from a pass interference penalty.RAVENS‘ OTHER ROOKIEBaltimore continued to get good production out of rookie running back Gus Edwards, who followed up two straight 100-yard performances by grinding out 82 yards on 21 carries.Edwards is an undrafted player out of Rutgers who spent the first five games on Baltimore’s practice squad. An injury to Alex Collins, whose season ended Saturday when he was put on the reserve list, opened the door for the 238-pound Edwards. He’s sure taken advantage of his opportunity.INJURY REPORTRavens: Jackson missed one series in the third quarter, clearing the way for Robert Griffin III to get his first significant playing time since 2016. Griffin went 2 of 4 for 21 yards, guiding the Ravens to a field goal before Jackson returned to the field. Also, G Alex Lewis left with a shoulder injury.Falcons: TE Logan Paulsen went out in the second quarter with a knee injury. LB Foyesade Oluokun (knee) left briefly but was able to return.UP NEXTRavens: Play their second straight road game at AFC West-leading Kansas City.Falcons: Travel to Green Bay to face the slumping Packers, knowing they must win their final four games just to avoid their first losing season since 2014.
The summer doldrums might be the worst part of the NFL season as people await training camps to open up Ben Powers Jersey , and even look forward to preseason games (until they start actually happening, that is). One of the biggest intrigues is the upcoming fantasy football season as people start to look at their draft boards and try to position their top players. While they don’t have quite the importance as a top running back, quarterbacks can still make or break your season. 2017 proved to be pretty difficult at predicting quarterbacks, as only three of them (Tom Brady, Carson Wentz and Russell Wilson) would reach over 30 touchdowns. Injuries to top quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and emerging stars like DeShaun Watson prevented two more from joining the list in what seemed to be surefire 30+ touchdown campaigns. As we turn our attention to the 2018 season, it’s time to predict who could possibly join the 30 touchdown club and what quarterbacks who are expected to have a chance at it could end up falling short. Here are 20 of the most intriguing quarterbacks for the 2018 season, and whether or not they’ll get to that 30 touchdown milestone. BALTIMORE (AP) — Long before they finished their season with a first-round playoff defeat, the Baltimore Ravens were already preparing for 2019 and beyond. The process began last February, when owner Steve Bisciotti announced that this would be final year for general manager Ozzie Newsome http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/iman-marshall-jersey-authentic , who has held the post since the franchise moved from Cleveland before the 1996 season. The job now belongs to Eric DeCosta, the assistant GM since 2012.This also turned out to be the final season in Baltimore for quarterback Joe Flacco, whose 11-year run included three trips to the AFC Championship game and a Super Bowl MVP trophy.Flacco was displaced in November by rookie Lamar Jackson , who guided the Ravens to the AFC North title and helped the team end a three-year hiatus from the playoffs. And, if there was any question about the stability of coach John Harbaugh, that item was addressed last month when the team asserted he would return in 2019 and that both sides were working on an extension. Not long after the Ravens (10-7) were eliminated Sunday with a 23-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Harbaugh was already looking toward next year.“There are plenty of things that we can do to improve,” he said. “We’ll look at this as our beginning and go from here.”Flacco began his NFL career with the Ravens by reaching the playoffs in five consecutive years. The Ravens can only hope for a similar start from Jackson, who turned 22 Monday, one day after becoming the youngest quarterback in league history to start in the postseason. The rookie had a flawed performance against the Chargers Trace McSorley Jersey , fumbling three times of offset two touchdown passes during a failed fourth-quarter comeback bid. But Harbaugh and the Ravens are fully behind the fleet-footed Jackson, who didn’t get his first NFL start until the 10th game of the season.“Lamar is our quarterback going forward,” Harbaugh said. “No question about that.”He left little doubt that Flacco won’t be part of the equation in 2019.“Joe’s going to have a market. A lot of teams are going to want Joe,” Harbaugh said. The Ravens have their man.“He’s the future,” safety Eric Weddle said. “He’ll come back 10 times better than he was this year. For what he did, and to the belief that he gave not only our team, but our city, this organization, is pretty special.”Some other things to know about the Ravens as they begin the offseason:NOT GONE, NEVER FORGOTTENNewsome will stick around as an adviser to DeCosta Kyler Murray Jersey , who received the promotion because that was likely the only way for the Ravens keep him from going elsewhere.“He has made the Ravens who they are, in my opinion,” Harbaugh said of Newsome. “I’m biased, but I think he’s the greatest GM in the history of football.”The transition should be smooth, because DeCosta has been part of the front office as long as the Ravens have been in existence.JACKSON: YEAR TWOJackson fumbled at least once in each of his eight starts and had only one 200-yard passing game.At least he knows what he must improve upon in 2019.“The ball handling in an offense like this is the thing we have to be great at,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll become a good drop-back pass team. We’ll become a good play-action pass team.”FLACCO FAREWELLFlacco’s hip injury in November opened the door for Jackson to start, and the rookie maintained the job after the team went on a hot streak. The Ravens can’t afford to pay Flacco to be a backup, so the veteran’s postgame session with the media had a nostalgic feel.“To be honest with you, I can’t imagine a better 11 years,” Flacco said. “This place becoming my home and my children’s home. Just how many different life changes I went through and how much we won here.”SUGGS WANTS MOREHall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis played 17 years with the Ravens http://www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-byron-murphy-jersey , and LB Terrell Suggs wants to at least match that number. After completing his 16th season Sunday, the Ravens career sack leader offered no hint that retirement was in his future.“I’m healthy, and I still feel like I have some juice in the tank,” Suggs said. “I would love to be a Raven for life. It’s a long time between here and March. So, we’re just going to enjoy it and hope we can work it out. If not, I’ll be lining up for somebody next year.”DEFENSE RESTSFirst-year defensive coordinator Don Martindale put together the league’s No. 1 unit this year, restoring a tradition for a franchise that has long relied on stuffing the opposition.“We re-set a standard,” tackle Michael Pierce said.No team allowed fewer yards, and only the Chicago Bears gave up fewer points per game. Baltimore limited the high-powered Chargers to one touchdown and 243 yards on Sunday.
FLORHAM PARK T.J. Hockenson Jersey , N.J. (AP) — qualifying offer to wide receiver Robby Anderson, who could become a restricted free agent next week.Anderson led the Jets last season with 50 receptions, 752 yards receiving and six touchdown catches. The 25-year-old receiver could negotiate with any team as a restricted free agent through April 19. The Jets have the right of first refusal and could match any team’s offer and retain him. If New York declines to match an offer, it would receive a second-round draft pick.Anderson’s rights would revert to the Jets if there are no offers from other teams. The Jets also announced Thursday they have tendered all nine of their exclusive-rights free agents: quarterback Davis Webb, wide receiver Deontay Burnett, safety Doug Middleton Jahlani Tavai Jersey , cornerback Jeremy Clark, running back De’Angelo Henderson, offensive lineman Ben Braden, defensive linemen Bronson Kaufusi, and linebackers Frankie Luvu and Anthony Wint. ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent quarterback Landry Jones. The move on Tuesday gives the Raiders another potential backup behind starter Derek Carr. Oakland signed Mike Glennon earlier in free agency and also has Nathan Peterman on the roster.Jones was originally a fourth-round pick by Pittsburgh in 2013. He has played 18 games with five starts in his career Will Harris Jersey , completing 108 of 169 passes for 1,310 yards, eight TDs, seven interceptions and an 86.2 passer rating.“I like him because he has experience,” coach Jon Gruden said. “I’ve seen him win games as a starter. I think his history with Antonio Brown will help me personally. A productive guy. He’s a quick study. He can learn. He can go out there and function on game day with very little reps, and that is a skill that is hard to find.“I’ll get a lot from that. I’ll break down all of Antonio’s targets — I don’t just break it down one play after another Austin Bryant Jersey , it’s this play, this is the play they are running. Why did he run this route? How did they coach this route? … You learn a lot of things they asked him to do, and that will help me.”
ST. JOSEPH Greedy Williams Jersey , Mo. —then came the guttural roar of the engine, as Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman arrived at training camp Wednesday in a copy of Clint Bowyer’s stock car.It could be the last time Sherman pulls off one of his arrival stunts at Missouri Western. The Chiefs are among a rapidly thinning number of franchises that leave the comforts of their own practice facility for camp, instead moving into the spartan dorm rooms of the Division II college about an hour’s drive north of Kansas City. But the contract with the school ends after this year, as does an agreement that binds the Chiefs to holding camp in Missouri for a 10-year stretch. That leaves the future of their training camp up in the air.“We looked at all the options, we’ve looked at moving back to our facility, but we like this,” team president Mark Donovan said. “We’ve had a great relationship. It’s been 10 years. I think everybody knows this is the last year of our agreement. At the end of camp we’ll sit down and talk about what went well, what went wrong — for both sides — and look at what we’ll do moving forward.”The Chiefs have had a number of camp homes over the years, including stints at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, and SMU in Dallas when the team was still the Texans. From 1963 through the 1990 season, the team was based at William Jewell College just north of Kansas City.In 1991, the club followed a trend of escaping the uncomfortable heat of early August by heading to River Falls, Wisconsin, and its relationship with UW-River Falls lasted nearly two decades. But the desire to bring training camp closer to home grew, and the Chiefs reached an agreement with Missouri Western to host their practices in 2010. And ever since, thousands of football fans have made a short drive up Interstate 29 to St. Joseph to bask in the morning sun, catch footballs during field-goal drills and seek autographs along the metal railing at the base of the hill.“We look forward to this opportunity of being up here in St. Joe and the great hospitality that they give us here,” said Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who has preferred going away for camp ever since he was the coach in Philadelphia. “It’s phenomenal from the fields to the food to the dorms.”There are also drawbacks. The team must pack almost its entire operation for the roughly three weeks spent in St. Joseph. Its in-house training and medical facilities are not available. And while there are undeniable benefits when it comes to camaraderie and team-building exercises, it also means even more time away from family for players http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/justice-hill-jersey-authentic , coaches and staff. That is why the Chiefs are at least open to the idea of moving elsewhere in the future.“Somebody would have to create a similar environment. They’re out there and they have expressed interest,” said Donovan, who declined to identify those parties. “It’s part of my job to take all the info in, do the due diligence. My dad was a really big boxing fan and he always told me, ‘You have to beat the champ. You can’t tie the champ.’ So someone would have to overwhelm us.”That remains a distinct possibility, though, because the Chiefs have never been a hotter ticket or more intriguing story. The emergence of quarterback Patrick Mahomes promises to make them a Super Bowl contender far into the future, driving up interest in a team that was once an afterthought. In fact, Donovan expects attendance at training camp to shatter all records this year. There were even a couple dozen fans in the parking lots Friday trying to snag an autograph from Sherman and the rest of the veterans as they checked in for camp. The big fullback has made a habit of arriving in outlandish ways, and he trumped them all by dressing in a custom fire suit and using Kansas native Clint Bowyer’s show car — a copy of the No. 14 he drives in the NASCAR Cup Series. The rest of the veterans were also expected to join the team Friday, including wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was cleared to return following an offseason domestic violence investigation. The first full-squad practice, which is open to fans, is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. And the big question is whether defensive tackle Chris Jones, coming off a 15 1/2-sack season, will arrive on time after skipping the entire offseason while demanding a long-term contract.Jones must report by early August or he does not earn an accrued NFL season.“With Chris, we’ll know more,” Reid said earlier this week. “Our people have talked with Chris’ people and there’s been communication there and so we’ll just see whether he’s here or not here. We obviously want him here and he probably wants to be here too. We’ll see how all of that works out.”11<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:Greetings from St. Joe: Chiefs training camp 2019AP | Copyright The Associated Press. (AP) — Leonard Fournette slipped off his sweaty cleats, signed each one and then handed them to a young fan after practice. The youngster carefully walked away with Fournette’s gold-colored shoes, making sure not to touch the drying ink. After all Ben Powers Jersey , the memorabilia could appreciate in value if the Jacksonville Jaguars running back gets his NFL career turned around.Fournette spoke publicly for the first time in nearly six months Friday, finally addressing the worst season in his 24 years and everything that’s happened since. He was injured, suspended and on the bench in crunch time. He was fined, criticized and admittedly not in ideal shape late in the year. The Jaguars voided the remaining guarantees in his rookie contract following his one-game suspension for fighting, and personnel chief Tom Coughlin ripped him for being “disrespectful” and “selfish” during the season finale. Adding to the chaos, Fournette was arrested last month for driving with a suspended license.“It’s a new year,” Fournette said following practice. “We have a new team. We’re focused and we have new players. It’s a new year for us, so it’s a new everything. It’s a clean start for a lot of us guys. We’re not focused on the past. The past’s the past.“Some things I did, whether it was offseason and I admitted to, yeah I was wrong. We moved on. We’re in a good place right now.”The Jaguars were in a tough spot without Fournette last season, unable to run the ball with any consistency after building the offense around the former LSU star and fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. He finished with 439 yards rushing and five touchdowns in eight games after running for 1,040 yards and nine scores as a rookie. He’s missed 11 games in two seasons, including two because of suspensions.“Everybody has a bad year, so I don’t feel like I’ve got to prove myself to no one,” Fournette said. The team probably feels otherwise.Jacksonville completely revamped its running backs room around Fournette, firing position coach Tyrone Wheatley and parting ways with backups T.J. They also added veteran Alfred Blue (another LSU alum) to be Fournette’s backup. And even though they signed quarterback and former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles to upgrade one of the NFL’s most anemic offenses http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/iman-marshall-jersey-authentic , Fournette is still expected to be the centerpiece under new coordinator John DeFilippo.“He’s going to be a major reason for where our offense goes,” DeFilippo said. “I’m not going to sugarcoat that. Leonard Fournette needs to be a big part of this offense. The harder he works, which he is right now, I think that’s not only going to be good for our offense, but good for our team.”Fournette said he weighs 226 pounds, down 14 pounds from the end of last season. He spent part of this offseason training in Dallas and then went to Wyoming to work with his college strength and conditioning coach in hopes of getting back to his “foundation.”“I kind of put a lot on myself this offseason, like getting my body right,” Fournette said. “Just mentally coming back ready to play football. No distractions. Leaving the outside stuff where it’s at. I think that’s one of the biggest things that us players. … We face a lot of problems, you know what I mean?“We have a lot of issues, and if we’re not right with ourselves and then we come out on this field, we’re not going to be right in the game.”Getting Fournette back on track is one of Jacksonville’s top priorities. Coaches believe he’s got the talent to be one of the best backs in the league — a guy whose worn cleats would be a collector’s item — but they have to keep him healthy, in shape, motivated and focused.“Those young guys at that age, I always think they need a little more push, a little bit more guidance, a little bit more leadership,” Robiskie said. “Leonard is one of those guys. He’s got the ambition. He’s got the heart.“I think he wants to win. I don’t think he wants to win a game. I think he wants to be a part of something special. I think he wants to win a Super Bowl, and I think the year before last, that little taste that he had, I think that kind of helped push it a little bit more.”
Cowboys had enough storylines to make any football fan salivate. Which of Stafford or Romo would finally elevate their play enough to send their team to the next round of the postseason? Who makes more big plays Dwayne Haskins Jersey , Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant? Will the Lions be able to stop DeMarco Murray? Will former Lions’ offensive coordinator Scott Linehan come back to haunt his old team?To add to the intrigue, the NFL dropped a bombshell on Monday when they announced the suspension of Detroit defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Suh then fired one right back, winning his appeal and the 27-year-old is now reinstated for Sunday’s game despite stepping on the injured leg of Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It’s hard to prove intent, but it’s clear the league took Suh’s reputation into account. Suh has been fined eight times, and has now been suspended twice in his NFL career. The league sent a statement to Suh, on behalf of the NFL's Vice President of Football Operations, Merton Hanks declaring, “you unnecessarily stepped on your opponent’s unprotected leg as he lay on the ground unable to protect himself.” However it appears that there wasn't sufficient proof that stepping on Rodgers's leg was Suh's intent, hence why Suh won his appeal. His only punishment will be a fine worth $70,000.That evens up the playing field a little in what will be the biggest on-field battle on Sunday. Dallas and Detroit have some of the premiere playmakers on offense in the NFL D.K. Metcalf Jersey , but I truly believe that this game will be won and lost in the trenches, as any classic playoff game should be. There’s no doubt the Lions’ offense can keep pace with the likes of Romo, Bryant, Murray and company, but will the defense hold up their end of the bargain? JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey says the Jacksonville Jaguars don’t intend to give him a contract extension this season.Ramsey joined teammates for the start of a mandatory, three-day minicamp Tuesday and spoke publicly for the first time since last year ended. He touched on not wanting to take on a leadership role, his desire to see Jacksonville pay defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, the status of absent linebacker Telvin Smith and his recent switch from Jordan Brand to Adidas apparel. But Ramsey raised eyebrows when the session shifted to , desire for a new deal http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-cody-barton-jersey , saying, “I’ve been let know that I won’t be getting a contract extension.”He quickly clarified that it won’t happen in 2019.“Y’all take it however you may want to take that,” Ramsey said. “I’ve fought through injuries. I’ve fought through everything, haven’t missed a game. … I feel like I have outplayed my rookie contract and I feel I’ve earned a new contract, but at the end of the day, it’s not the end of the world.“I’m tremendously blessed. I’m so blessed. I’m not down on it or anything like that at all, but that is the circumstance. That is what I’ve been told.”Ramsey is entering the final year of his $23.3 million rookie contract. The Jaguars already exercised the fifth-year option in the deal, meaning he’s also tied to the club for $13.7 million in 2020.The Jaguars have made it clear they want the former Florida State standout to be a long-term piece of their defense. But they’re not ready to give him an extension with two years remaining on his current contract.Jacksonville, which has a little more than $9 million in cap space available, also expects to be in better financial shape next year after getting rid of about $24 million in dead money already paid to quarterback Blake Bortles Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey , defensive tackle Malik Jackson, safety Tashaun Gipson, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and a few others.“The money’s always there,” Ramsey said. “Money’s always there. That’s all I’ll say about it. I’m happy to be here. I want to be a part of the team, but it won’t happen this year. I’ll just say that. We’ll move on.”Ramsey has 193 tackles and nine interceptions in three seasons, developing into a lock-down cornerback who usually shadows the opponent’s best receiver. He skipped the team’s offseason conditioning program and organized team activities for the second consecutive year, preferring to work out with his father and spend time with his family in Nashville, Tennessee.“I never worry about him being in shape or ready to go,” coach Doug Marrone said.Other topics Ramsey addressed:—He said he doesn’t want to be a leader this season.“That’s not something that you can force. I want to continue being myself, being even more supportive of my teammates and leading kind of from behind the scenes and by actions more so than kind of breaking down the team and giving speeches and stuff. That’s not how I view leadership. I think there’s different ways to lead.”—He reiterated his stance that the team should pay Ngakoue http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-phil-haynes-jersey , who has 29 1/2 sacks in three seasons and is due to make $2.025 million in the final year of his rookie contract.“We’ve built something special. It’s a few guys who really came in and changed the culture and made things pop, and he’s definitely one of them.”—He said he talks to Smith all the time and wants people to leave his teammate alone. Smith said last month he plans to sit out the 2019 season to “get my world in order.”“We all love football dearly, of course, but that is not everything. … It’s not everything. He has a life. He’s enjoying himself. He’s getting right, doing what he feels is right, in the right mind frame.”—Ramsey also explained his switch to Adidas.“They flew me out to Portland, me and the fam. Everything they presented and laid down on the table for me was second to none and that was the move I wanted to make. I think it was the best move for me business-wise.”
Nicasio from the 10-day disabled list as they continue to add options in their bullpen.
Nicasio and catcher Chris Herrmann were added to the 25-man roster on Monday ahead of a road trip against the New York Yankees and Boston that begins on Tuesday. Seattle optioned right-hander Rob Whalen and catcher David Freitas to Triple-A Tacoma.
Nicasio was one of Seattle’s big offseason additions to the bullpen. He was placed on the DL on June 8 with a right knee injury. His results to that point had been mixed Quinnen Williams Jersey , with an eight-game stretch of not allowing a run in late May and early June, followed by giving up four runs without retiring a batter in his previous outing on June 6 against Houston. Nicasio has appeared in 30 games and has a 5.34 ERA.
Herrmann was returned from a rehab assignment at Tacoma after suffering a strained oblique in late May. He appeared in one game with Seattle before getting hurt.

A rough preseason had people doubting Nick Foles again. The Super Bowl MVP is used to criticism and he’s ready to lead the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night.Foles was the toast of the town after spectacular performances in the NFC championship game against Minnesota and the Super Bowl victory over New England. But he didn’t lead the offense to any points on 14 drives in two preseason games, threw two interceptions, lost two fumbles and got sacked six times, including a safety.“I went out there and played,” Foles said Tuesday. “I made mistakes. I did good things. I grew as a player. That’s important. I wasn’t trying to play it safe and with that you are going to make mistakes. Obviously http://www.cowboyscheapauthenticstore.com/trysten-hill-jersey-cheap , it isn’t fun, but you get to watch film and deal with the emotions of throwing a pick, having a strip-sack, and I dealt with it in the preseason and keep learning from it and move forward.”Foles replaced Carson Wentz after the franchise quarterback tore two knee ligaments in Week 14 last season. He rallied the Eagles to a victory over the Los Angeles Rams to clinch the NFC East and played well in his first five quarters. He struggled in the next five and some critics suggested Foles should be benched for Nate Sudfeld for the division playoff game against Atlanta. Coach Doug Pederson never lost confidence in Foles, and it paid off when he helped the Eagles win their first NFL title since 1960.Foles had a 115.7 passer rating, completed 72.6 percent of his passes and threw for 971 yards Jachai Polite Jersey , six TDs and one interception in the playoffs.Which version of Foles will show up this week?“I think everyone tries to figure out sports. Sports, you never know,” Foles said. “You go out there and play, you give everything you have. I think there’s plenty of games that are middle ground that I’ve played.“Now my middle ground is if I throw one touchdown, no interceptions, it’s a bad game. I’ve set that bar high. I know that because I expect more for myself. What is a middle ground game? We’re going to be analyzed as players but I know as a player Chuma Edoga Jersey , you can be hard on yourself, but you have to learn from your mistakes and for me, I know by the week of preparation, but you never really know until you get in the game.”Foles wasn’t officially named the starter until Monday, though it was obvious Wentz wasn’t going to be ready to play. Wentz still hasn’t been medically cleared.“The more I play, the more I’ll get in a rhythm Trevon Wesco Jersey ,” Foles said.NOTES: The Eagles signed WR Markus Wheaton and placed TE Richard Rodgers (knee) on injured reserve. The first few weeks of the 2016 NFL season are in the books Julian Love Jersey , and every football fan everywhere is breathing a sigh of relief, even the ones whose teams played terribly. Despite our collective loyalty and passion for the game of football, there are over 150 million fans in the U.S., and nearly all of us are doing something wrong. Many infractions are widespread and relatively harmless, like thinking that other people want to hear about your fantasy squad. Other crimes are downright shameful, such as wearing a personalized jersey or spilling someone else’s beer… on them (unless they are wearing a personalized jersey). But there are some wrongdoings in the practice of rooting for a team that are so despicable, so deplorable, that those who commit them can truly and certifiably be branded BAD FANS. And some cities, sadly, are chock full of these awful people. Here we examine the seven deadly sins of NFL fandom, and the fanbases that are the worst practitioners of each of these terrible behaviors. Some of them might surprise you! But probably not. Whether it was the result of too much winning, too much losing Darius Slayton Jersey , too much drinking, or some combination of the three, these jerks should just STFU and GTFO. Real fans are trying to enjoy the game. It’s the time of year when World Cup skiers get worn down with flu, fever and general fatigue – and all of the protagonists in Tuesday’s giant slalom were affected by it in one way or another.
Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany returned from two weeks in bed to claim her third win of the season while overall World Cup leader Mikaela Shiffrin cited fatigue as a factor after an uncharacteristic fall in the first run
”It’s Day 7 on snow in a row and Day 11 or 12 on snow with only one day off,” Shiffrin told The Associated Press. ”So it’s a lot. It’s definitely a point in the season where fatigue is starting to build up.”
Sitting third after the opening leg, Rebensburg had the fastest second run to finish 0.03 seconds ahead of first-run leader Ragnhild Mowinckel of Norway amid perfect conditions at the Kronplatz resort.
”After this period when I was lying at home on my couch watching other girls ripping it wasn’t easy to stay patient,” Rebensburg said. ”But now I’m 100 percent healthy.”
Mowinckel was 0.21 ahead of Rebensburg at the final checkpoint but lost speed through the final gates. Still, it was the Norwegian’s best career result and she celebrated as if she had won.
Defending champion Federica Brignone of Italy finished third, 0.66 behind, despite a fever that kept her out of Sunday’s super-G in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
”In between runs I was almost asleep,” Brignone said. ”But I tried not to think I’ve been sick the last few days and lying in bed all day long. … I tried to give everything in front of my people.”
Shiffrin lost control of her inside ski coming around a turn as she entered the toughest section of a slope named Erta, which translates as steep. With a gradient of 61 percent in that section T.J. Hockenson Jersey , Shiffrin slid a long way down the course but immediately got up and was not injured.
”I got on my inside ski going over that breakover and it was the one turn that I knew like, `Have some direction, it gets really steep after this. It’s a short breakover. And you just want to make sure you’re on point on this turn,”’ Shiffrin said. ”And I was going into it really aggressive but fine.
”It happens,” Shiffrin added. ”One of the things I’ve been working on the most is putting the pressure on my outside ski so I don’t boot out like I did.”
After missing a gate on Sunday in the Cortina super-G, it marked the first time in more than six years that Shiffrin failed to finish two consecutive races. The last time came in back-to-back slaloms in Courchevel, France, and Flachau, Austria, in December 2011 – before the American registered her first World Cup podium.
It was the 16th career World Cup win for Rebensburg, who also won the giant slalom at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Rebensburg’s other wins this season came in the season opener in Soelden, Austria http://www.lionscheapstore.com/jahlani-tavai-jersey-cheap , in October and then in Killington, Vermont, in November.
Marta Bassino of Italy finished fourth and Sara Hector of Sweden was fifth.
Shiffrin still holds a massive 843-point lead over Rebensburg in the overall standings. In the GS rankings, Rebensburg moved 37 points ahead of Shiffrin.
”That’s how it goes when you’re pushing the limits,” Shiffrin said. ”I’ve been exploring that mentality of pushing my limit. I like to step in the race course to know that my skiing is good enough that I could ski at 90 percent but it’s more fun when I’m really hammering.
”And with GS there’s a lot of really awesome competition,” Shiffrin added. ”When I watch these girls I know they’re not holding back.”
Shiffrin had been undefeated this year in the technical disciplines of GS, slalom and parallel slalom with five straight wins.
She has two more technical races in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, next weekend before she travels to South Korea for the Pyeonghchang Olympics.

This story has been corrected to show that Shiffrin has failed to finish two consecutive races before.
When the Los Angeles Angels‘ right fielder was placed on the disabled list June 2 with a strained right oblique Josh Allen Jersey , he was in a 12-for-122 slump (.098), dropping his season average to .145.
“Every day is a new day,” Calhoun told the Orange County Register last week. “You’ve still got to go out and perform. I’m not thinking about it much honestly. I just want to go out and have a good game. Just going out and trying to help the team win.”
He did that Wednesday, going 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs as the Angels snapped the host Seattle Mariners‘ eight-game winning streak with a 7-4 victory. The teams wrap up their three-game series Thursday night at Safeco Field.
Calhoun has hit two home runs in his past three games after hitting just three in his previous 62. Since returning from the DL on June 18, he’s batting .306 (15-for-49) with three doubles, four home runs, seven RBIs and 10 runs scored.
That’s helped Calhoun raise his batting average to .180.
He even returned to the leadoff spot in the batting order last week in Baltimore, a spot he held in previous seasons.
“Kole has made some adjustments and hopefully it will pay off,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia told The Register.
Scioscia said one key for Calhoun is he’s been more selective at the plate as of late.
“He’s had a good eye in previous years,” Scioscia said. “It’s been a part of his game, but it’s been elusive this year.”
The Angels will send rookie right-hander Jaime Barria (5-4, 3.40 ERA) to the mound Thursday in place of left-hander Tyler Skaggs, who was placed on the disabled list Wednesday with a right adductor strain. Barria suffered a 6-3 loss on June 12 at Seattle, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits in five innings.
The Mariners are scheduled to start left-hander Marco Gonzales (8-5 http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/jawaan-taylor-jersey-cheap , 3.77 ERA). Gonzales is 0-0 with a 4.66 ERA in four career starts against the Angels, including two earlier this season.
Gonzales is coming off his first career complete game in a 4-1 victory against Kansas City. Gonzales lost the shutout bid on Mike Moustakas’ two-strike, two-out single in the ninth inning.
“It’s a culmination of a lot of hard work this year and having the right guys behind me,” Gonzales said after his last start. “Those guys played incredible defense behind me and when your team gives you a lead in the first half of the game, you inch closer to eyeing the end. From the first inning I just had the mentality that this is my game and I’m going to go as deep as I can.”
Gonzales has been a big part of Seattle’s success this season after earning the No. 5 spot in the rotation this spring.
“He’s matured, there’s no question,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said of Gonzales. “It always works better when guys earn it. He has a lot of confidence right now because everything that’s happened this year, he’s earned. From coming into spring training, winning a spot in our rotation, he continues to build throughout the season.”

Seattle then went hurry-up offensively and the 49ers were caught offsides as Warner tried to exit the field and a replacement was late making the substitution.“It wasn’t a smart thing by me and something I can’t do,” Shanahan told reporters Monday. The shoe toss itself was seemingly not caught by either the FOX television broadcast of the game or the coach’s tape film made available to the public. Nevertheless, Wilson admitted to tossing the shoe between plays.“Listen, I didn’t know whose shoe it was, first of all,” Wilson said. “Second of all, it was right in the middle of my play. It had to go. We were going no-huddle and it was like right where we were going to pretty much snap it. And I was like ‘anyone’s shoe?’ and was like all right, whatever. So I threw it.”Warner lost his left shoe on the previous snap late in the third quarter as Seahawks left guard J.R. Sweezy stepped on the back of his heel while attempting to block him. The shoe came to rest of the 30-yard line directly on the left hash mark. The 5-yard run by Chris Carson on the play would have left the shoe 2 yards directly behind Wilson, who lined up under center at the 28-yard line Sheldrick Redwine Jersey , for Seattle’s next snap.An overhead shot on the TV broadcast showed Warner having retrieved his shoe departing the field from at least as far back as the 38-yard line. He could not get the footwear back on in time for the next play and Elijah Lee attempted to replace him on the field, drawing the offsides penalty.“I didn’t want to throw it forward because we were going that direction, obviously, toward the end zone. So I threw it back. I don’t know. I’ve never seen a shoe on the field like that in the middle of a play when I’m trying to go no-huddle,” Wilson said.Shanahan began arguing with officials about the whole scenario and was flagged himself for unsportsmanlike conduct.“That’s what I was trying to figure out, especially when another guy on the opposing team threw it,” Shanahan said Monday. “I’m not saying that (Wilson) did that maliciously or anything, who knows, but it was an unusual situation and it was my tipping point.”Wilson said he could definitely understand why the opposing head coach would be upset about how the sequence played out.“I understood why he did it. I wasn’t thinking about it in the midst of doing it,” Wilson said with a chuckle. The Seahawks would score a touchdown on the second play of the fourth quarter to finish the drive on an 18-yard pass from Wilson to receiver Jaron Brown. It was Wilson’s fourth touchdown pass of the game and second to Brown. Coach Matt Patricia couldn’t deliver a playoff berth in his first season with the Detroit Lions Austin Seibert Jersey , but he gave his players the next best thing on Monday.A day off.It was Victory Monday without the victory in Allen Park, as the players didn’t have organized meetings the day before their regular day off Tuesday for Christmas Day.Patricia has had a rocky start to his tenure in Detroit, but Monday’s day off was another signal of his attempts to build rapport with players.“It’s different than a normal week,” Patricia said Monday on a conference call. “With the holiday, we’re trying to do the right thing with that and be respectful with everybody. It’s a little bit of a different day for us today, but that’s OK. We tend to handle schedule change each year a lot.”It’s the latest sign of Patricia trying to gain the respect of his players despite a rocky rookie season. After Sunday’s 27-9 loss in the home finale against Minnesota, the Lions are 5-10 and clinched last place in the NFC North for the first time since 2012. Only draft positioning is on the line Sunday at Green Bay (6-8-1).The Lions are slotted at No. 5 in the draft order heading into the finale — not exactly what fans expected after former coach Jim Caldwell was fired after going 9-7 last season. Two of Caldwell’s four regular seasons as head coach ended with games against Green Bay that had playoff positioning on the line.As the long season winds down, linebacker Jarrad Davis said after Sunday’s game that Patricia had a personal message for him in the locker room.“He just told me to enjoy my family. It’s the Christmas season, we’re in the Christmas spirit,” Davis said. “This is a piece of life right now. It’s my life Trysten Hill Jersey , but at the same time, it’s just a little small piece. So, just enjoy my family, have a good time and we’ll get back to work next week and move forward.”Patricia has often talked about how much he cares about his players, particularly when asked about injuries, which piled on his team this season at key spots.“The guys in that locker room and us as coaches, we all care about each other a lot,” Patricia said Sunday. “We certainly at least try to keep that in perspective. When you’re in situations where you have an opportunity to kind of — you just make sure everybody’s doing OK and check in.”The defense was solid for the most part on Sunday, but gave up a desperation pass to close the first half as tight end Kyle Rudolph caught a 44-yard heave from Kirk Cousins for a touchdown. The struggles for the Detroit offense continued Sunday with the Lions failing to score more than 17 points for the fifth straight game under maligned offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter. The Lions are missing wide receiver Marvin Jones and running back Kerryon Johnson down the stretch because of injuries, and leading receiver Golden Tate was traded midseason to Philadelphia. At 3 Connor McGovern Jersey ,511 passing yards with one game left, quarterback Matthew Stafford will likely fall short of 4,000 for the first time since 2010, when he played three games because of an injury. Stafford averaged more than 4,500 yards over the previous seven seasons and had fallen short of 4,000 twice in his first nine seasons.Stafford was 18 of 32 for 116 yards Sunday and was replaced with 4:10 left by Matt Cassel, who was welcomed by cheers at Ford Field.“I just want to win games,” Stafford said. “And when you don’t do it, it’s frustrating. We put a lot of work into it. The coaches, the players Foster Moreau Jersey , all the support staff, we put a ton of work into this. We don’t just roll the ball out there on Sundays and hope for the best.”NOTE: Former Lions general manager Matt Millen underwent a heart transplant early Monday, according to multiple reports. The 60-year-old Millen underwent the procedure in a New Jersey hospital after waiting nearly three months for a transplant. Millen has been suffering from amyloidosis, a rare disease where an abnormal protein can attach and deposit into organs, tissues, nerves and other places in the body.Millen was with the Lions from 2001 until 2008 and presided over an 0-16 season in Detroit.
METAIRIE http://www.bengalscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-michael-jordan-jersey , La. (AP) — receiver Brandon Marshall, who had not been active on game day since signing one month ago.Marshall’s release made room on the roster for tight end Erik Swoope, whom New Orleans has claimed off of waivers from Indianapolis. The 34-year-old Marshall, who has eight 1 T.J. Hockenson Jersey ,000-plus-yard seasons in his career, has now been cut by two teams this season. After missing much of 2017 with ankle and toe injuries, Marshall began this season with Seattle and was released after seven games.Swoope began his career with the Colts in 2015. In 2016 he played in 16 games and made 15 catches for 297 yards and a touchdown. However, he spent all of 2017 on injured reserve because of a knee injury. This season http://www.lionscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-jahlani-tavai-jersey , Swoope had played in seven games for the Colts, catching eight passes for 87 yards and three TDs. Another Dodgers pitcher has landed on the disabled list. This time, it’s rookie Walker Buehler.
The 23-year-old right-hander underwent an MRI that revealed a right rib microfracture, an injury he sustained when he was hit by a 108-mph line drive by Colorado’s Trevor Story on May 21.
Buehler remained in that game and went on to make three more starts despite feeling slight discomfort. Last Friday Will Harris Jersey , he was pulled after 5 1/3 innings when manager Dave Roberts spotted issues with Buehler’s mechanics.
Roberts said the start of Buehler’s DL stint was backdated and he will be available on June 19.
Buehler played catch on Tuesday to keep his arm in shape.
He has made nine starts this season, going 4-1 with a 2.63 ERA, 54 strikeouts and 11 walks.
A bases-loaded triple D.K. Metcalf Jersey , followed by another triple. So many unusual things went into Chicago’s biggest comeback of the season that even the White Sox had trouble keeping track.
No matter. They’ll take it.
Daniel Palka and Avisail Garcia each homered twice, and Yoan Moncada tripled with the bases loaded in the 12th inning as the White Sox pulled off their biggest comeback and beat the Cincinnati Reds 12-8 on Tuesday night.
”Well, a lot going on today,” manager Rick Renteria said.
It was a night of non-stop offense, right from the outset.
Trailing 7-2 after five innings, the White Sox pulled even in the ninth on Garcia’s solo homer off Raisel Iglesias, then pulled it out with the help of a couple of Reds errors.
”That last inning was tough,” said Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett, whose error opened the way.
The White Sox loaded the bases with a walk and two errors. Moncada’s opposite-field triple off Jackson Stephens (2-1) broke the tie, and Yolmer Sanchez followed with another triple.
Hector Santiago (3-3) fanned six in two innings as the White Sox extended their domination in the interleague series. They’re 17-5 all-time against the Reds, including 11-3 in Cincinnati.
”Surreal,” said Chicago starter Lucas Giolito http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-cody-barton-jersey , who gave up three homers but wound up on the winning side. ”From my perspective, I didn’t get the job done. It’s an awesome feeling that these guys play hard behind you.”
Jim Riggleman was ejected by plate umpire Eric Cooper during Chicago’s winning rally, his first ejection as the Reds’ interim manager. They had words as Riggleman was signaling from the dugout for an intentional walk.
”Then he made some comment that I didn’t like,” Riggleman said. ”That’s kind of how the whole game went.”
The Reds got the better of a free-swinging game early on, surging ahead 4-0 before Giolito could record an out. Jose Peraza opened with a triple, Gennett hit his 14th homer , Joey Votto walked, and Eugenio Suarez followed with his 17th homer . Suarez performed a salsa dance with Votto after he crossed the plate.
Adam Duvall added a three-run shot into the upper deck in left field in the fifth inning off Giolito for a 7-2 lead, the second time in his career that the right-hander has allowed three homers in a game.
Anthony DeSclafani also gave up a career-high three homers – two by Palka and one by Garcia, who went 3 for 6 and extended his hitting streak to a career-high 13 games.
INTERLEAGUE
The White Sox are 4-10 in interleague play this season. The Reds are 7-2. The loss snapped their streak of six straight wins against the AL.
LONG TIME COMING
The last time the White Sox and Reds played an extra-inning game was Game 6 of the ”Black Sox” World Series in 1919. Chicago won that game 5-4 in 10 innings at Crosley Field.
HOMECOMING
Giolito started the Futures Game as part of the All-Star festivities at Great American Ball Park in 2015 and pitched two scoreless innings .
SLOPPY, SLOPPY
The Reds committed a season-high four errors – two by Suarez at third, one by Peraza at shortstop and one by Gennett at second base.
ROBBED … SORT OF
Sanchez’s triple in the 12th came on a weird play. Right fielder Brandon Dixon stretched above the wall and grabbed the fly ball – robbing Sanchez of a homer – but the glove flipped off his hand as he hit the wall and the ball deflected back onto the field.
TRAINER’S ROOM
White Sox: Jose Abreu was out of the lineup a day after he fouled a pitch off his left ankle. X-rays were negative. Abreu pinch hit in the 11th inning and grounded out.
Reds: Homer Bailey threw 103 pitches in 6 2/3 innings of a rehab appearance for Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday night Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey , giving up one run and seven hits while fanning eight. Bailey has been sidelined since June 2 by a sore right knee.
UP NEXT
White Sox: Dylan Covey (3-3) is 0-1 with a 12.71 ERA in his last three starts, walking 12 in 11 1/3 innings and giving up 16 runs.
Reds: Sal Romano (4-8) went 1-2 with a 3.90 ERA in five June starts. He’s been limited to five innings in four of his last six starts.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Jaylen Samuels spent the months leading up to the 2018 NFL draft answering one question over and over again.“People were like, ‘What position (are you) going to play?'” the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie said. “And I just kept saying ‘I’m going to play running back.'”Not everyone believed him. The NFL included. The NFL was so skeptical of the former North Carolina State star’s potential out of the backfield he was told shortly before the scouting combine that he wouldn’t be working out with the running backs but the tight ends. Samuels shrugged his shoulders, figuring it was better to be at the combine — even if it wasn’t your preferred position — than stuck at home watching it on TV.Fast forward 10 months. They don’t ask Samuels where he fits anymore. Not after the 22-year-old lit up the New England Patriots for 142 yards rushing and 172 total yards in a victory over the New England Patriots last Sunday.Samuels carried the ball 19 times — more than he can remember at any level of football — and caught a pair of passes, including a leaping 20-yard, fourth-quarter grab that helped the Steelers run some clock before adding a late field goal that pushed the margin to seven points. There were the usual aches and pains on Monday, but nothing out of the ordinary after the heavy workload. Good thing, because Samuels figures to be just as busy when the Steelers (8-5-1) travel to New Orleans to face the NFC South champion Saints (12-2) on Sunday.Newly minted Pro Bowler James Conner is still dealing with a sprained left ankle that’s forced him to miss the past two weeks, meaning Pittsburgh’s running game will be in the hands of a fifth-round pick who has quickly morphed from project to capable starter.Samuels earned a spot out of training camp thanks to the way he embraced special teams and had found a small niche as a receiving threat — he’s N.C. State’s career leader in receptions (202), just ahead of former NFL wide receivers Jerricho Cotchery and Torry Holt — before Conner went down in the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Chargers. Samuels came in and caught a 10-yard touchdown pass on the next play. His first NFL start didn’t go quite as planned. He managed just 28 yards on 11 carries in a stunning loss to the Oakland Raiders. The problem wasn’t so much Oakland’s defense or the iffy turf so much as Samuels’ own jitters.“I felt like I wasn’t being patient enough, just being in a rush, hurry up and get to the hole and try to get there http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-phil-haynes-jersey ,” Samuels said. “(Against the Patriots) I could definitely feel it all sorting out. The holes are just opening. I just felt smoother and it felt like it was more my game.”A game that not every college coach that recruited Samuels out of high school understood. UNC brought the Charlotte native in for a camp and had him practice with the linebackers.“I was like, ‘What am I doing? Why am I going backward'” Samuels said. “I need to be going forward with the ball.”N.C. State assistant coach Eddie Faulkner saw the potential and during the recruiting process pointed out all the varied ways the Wolfpack could use him. Samuels spent four record-breaking years doing a little bit of everything.Running back. Fullback. H-back. Tight end. Slot receiver. His polished route running was immediately apparent to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when Pittsburgh used its second pick of the fifth round on Samuels.“He has really good hands, soft hands you can really throw it all over the place and he can make plays,” Roethlisberger said.“I think he showed that this week that we can put him out there and we can do some things with him and hopefully we are just scratching the surface.”While Steelers coach Mike Tomlin jokingly replied “who said I had confidence?” when asked what gave him faith Samuels could produce, he’s not particularly surprised by what he saw against the Patriots. The shakiness in Oakland was understandable. The bounce back versus New England was promising.“There are oftentimes when you walk into stadiums, particularly as a young guy, it is a first time for a lot of things,” Tomlin said. “And I am sure as he continues to step into stadiums with a significant role for us he’ll check some boxes and do some things he hasn’t done before, but that’s just a very natural thing in terms of a young player.”One who no longer has to deal with questions about where he fits.NOTES: Conner and LB Bud Dupree (knee) did not practice Wednesday. … S Terrell Edmunds (concussion) was limited. … DE Cam Heyward (knee) was a full participant. … Roethlisberger and C Maurkice Pouncey were given the day off.
Yet the newest Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has no plans to fill the void left by Antonio Brown.“AB is one of the best if not the best ever Elgton Jenkins Jersey ,” Moncrief said on Thursday hours after signing a two-year deal with Pittsburgh. “You can’t try to be what he was. You can only be what you are.”What Moncrief has been during his five-year career is dependable if not always prolific. A third-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2014 NFL draft, Moncrief brings 200 career receptions for 2,543 yards and 21 touchdowns to Pittsburgh, where he suddenly finds himself as the most experienced receiver in the room. The 25-year-old wideout has played in 69 games for Indianapolis and Jacksonville. The group Moncrief joins — rising star JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington and Eli Rogers (re-signed to a two-year deal on Thursday) — has played in 74 career games combined. Now, the player who was mentored by longtime Colts star Reggie Wayne finds himself in position to do the mentoring in Pittsburgh. Moncrief said the Steelers have a “great room,” and if he can be “the guy that pushes guy,” it’s a role he’ll gladly accept.Pittsburgh does provide Moncrief with something he hasn’t enjoyed in recent seasons: stability at quarterback. In the last four years Moncrief has caught passes from Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck, Jacoby Brissett, Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler. Barring injury, there is no such uncertainty in Pittsburgh Jace Sternberger Jersey , where 37-year-old Ben Roethlisberger remains a part of the team’s long-term plans. Roethlisberger is entering the final season of his contract but is expected to sign an extension in the very near future. That’s fine by Moncrief, who heard from Roethlisberger shortly after the deal was completed.“He’s ready to get going, get some chemistry, lock in,” Moncrief said.Moncrief’s arrival also gives him common ground with his father, Spencer. The elder Moncrief is a lifelong Steelers fan and told his son a month ago he had a feeling he would end up in Pittsburgh.“I’m a Steeler now, so I guess we’re in the same boat,” Moncrief said.Moncrief can play on both the outside and the inside, though his 6-foot-2 frame would seem to make him a perfect complement to the 6-1 Smith-Schuster, with the 5-11 Washington and the 5-10 Rogers working primarily in the slot. Not that it ultimately matters. Offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner showed in his first season that he will get creative with where his receivers line up in an effort to create the best matchup.Moncrief has shown an ability to get downfield. He averaged 13.9 yards per catch playing for the Jaguars in 2018 and had a career-best 15.0 yards per reception during his final season with the Colts in 2017.The numbers, however, don’t exactly line up with Brown’s historic production. The only player with six consecutive seasons of at least 100 catches is now playing in Oakland after a messy divorce that ended with Brown being shipped to the Raiders for a pair of draft picks.Brown’s highly public fallout with the team following his benching in Week 17 created headlines for weeks. Moncrief ignored them and said everyone he talked to before officially joining the Steelers talked about the way the organization treats its players.Pittsburgh prefers to take care of its own Dexter Williams Jersey , and it did that again when it re-signed Rogers shortly before Moncrief’s deal became official. The 26-year-old Rogers made the team as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville. He spent most of 2018 recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee suffered in a playoff loss to Jacksonville 15 months ago. He returned to catch 12 passes for 79 yards in limited action. Both Moncrief and Rogers will get a chance to face newly acquired cornerback Steven Nelson when the Steelers begin organized team activities in the spring. Nelson, who agreed to a three-year contract on Wednesday, picked off four passes for Kansas City in 2018, matching the total of Pittsburgh’s entire secondary.Nelson is aware creating takeaways was a problem for the Steelers last season. He hopes to be part of the solution.“I know this year will be different,” Nelson said Thursday. “We’re going to change that around this year.”Nelson is also looking forward to the fall and lining up across from the retooled Cleveland Browns, whose receiving group includes Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr., whom Cleveland landed in a stunning trade earlier this week.“I welcome that challenge,” Nelson said. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers endured perhaps the most challenging year of his career — a season marked by a knee injury, inconsistent play and the firing of coach Mike McCarthy.Enter new coach Matt LaFleur, who would rather look ahead to building a relationship with Rodgers than look back to find out what went wrong.“He’s had a hell of a career up to this point,” LaFleur said at the NFL combine on Wednesday. “For me, it’s just about what can we do moving forward. I know this: When I talk to him Rock Ya-Sin Jersey , the guy wants to win. I think he’s at the point of his career where he’s starting to think about his legacy and what he’s going to leave. The only way you can do that is you better win a world championship. That’s the goal. We’re always going to strive for that.“I think that’s where he’s at in his career.”Rodgers won his lone Super Bowl in 2010. He won MVP awards in 2011 and 2014 and led the Packers to NFC championship games in 2014 and 2016. The second world championship, however, has remained elusive. At age 35, he’s on the back nine of his career. To get the Packers back to the playoffs – they’ve missed out the last two seasons after qualifying the previous eight years – let alone win a championship, LaFleur wants to take some of the pressure off Rodgers. That means a balanced offense, particularly on first and second down. Green Bay operated the most pass-heavy attack in the league last season.LaFleur hopes to change the equation.“That’s philosophically what I believe is best to keep a defense off-balance, and it makes the quarterback’s job a heck of a lot easier, it takes hits off the quarterbacks,” LaFleur said. “I think all these guys kind of have a shelf life and there’s only ‘X’ amount of hits in a guy’s body. So how can we extend our quarterback’s career as long as possible? And I think the way you do that is make a commitment to the running game and kind of build your offense through your running game?”The Packers arrived at the combine armed with a pair of first-round picks — Nos. 12 and 30 — and six choices in the first four rounds. They have plenty of needs, with outside linebacker, safety and guard among them. Finding an immediate starter at tight end, however http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/anthony-zettel-jersey , might not be necessary, with general manager Brian Gutekunst indicating veteran Jimmy Graham will return for a second season.Graham finished second on the team with 55 receptions for 636 yards, though he scored only two touchdowns. He played the last quarter of the season with a broken thumb. The 32-year-old has a salary-cap charge of $12.667 million for 2019, which includes a $5 million roster bonus due next month. Gutekunst could release Graham and create about $5.333 million of cap space but that’s apparently not the plan.“Jimmy had a productive year for us last year,” Gutekunst said. “Was really, really proud of him. He fought through a lot of things just to be out there. Guys who have played as long as he has don’t have to do that. His professionalism was on display each and every day, and I look forward to seeing what he can do for us this year.”The futures of free-agent receiver Randall Cobb, free-agent linebacker Clay Matthews and veteran linebacker Nick Perry have not been determined, Gutekunst said. They were three of the highest-paid players on the team last season but they all underperformed.“As we get all the information together as we approach the next few weeks, we’ll kind of have a better idea for all that,” Gutekunst said.
“Not quite hot enough Chris Lindstrom Jersey ,” Tannehill responded with a smile.Turn up the heat. That’s what the Dolphins tend to do when the Patriots play in Miami. While New England has dominated Miami — and everyone else — in the AFC East over the past decade, the reverse has been true lately when the teams meet in South Florida. The Dolphins have won four of the past five home meetings, including 27-20 last December when Jay Cutler outplayed Tom Brady.Oddsmakers expect the trend to end, with New England (9-3) a touchdown favorite over Miami (6-6).Here are things to know as the Patriots attempt to clinch their 10th consecutive division title:TOUGH PLACE TO PLAYIn recent years the Patriots have had worse results in Miami than anywhere else, and New England coach Bill Belichick blames the Dolphins.“They’ve got a good football team,” he said. “They’ve got a lot of good players.”That’s fine, coach, except that in Foxborough, your team has won 10 in a row against Miami by an average score of 33-13. That includes a 38-7 victory earlier this season. And in the standings, the Dolphins have been perennial also-rans to your dynasty.Belichick and his players discount the South Florida climate as a factor, but it does favor the Dolphins, with teams from the north tending to wilt in the warm weather.“Sometimes it hits some of these teams pretty hard,” Miami coach Adam Gase said. The bad news for the Dolphins is that forecasters don’t anticipate the heavily favored Patriots will take the game lightly — not with the annoyance this week of constant questions about their recent results in Miami.“The last few times we’ve played them down there http://www.falconscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-kaleb-mcgary-jersey , we haven’t played very well,” running back James White acknowledged, “so I think that’s enough motivation.”ANOTHER CHANCEAfter a quiet day when the teams met in September, Miami receiver Danny Amendola is itching for another crack at his former team, but he has been nursing a knee injury and missed last week’s win over Buffalo.Amendola became one of Brady’s favorite targets during his five seasons in New England. He is in his first year with Miami after signing a $12 million, two-year contract and leads the team in catches and yards receiving.Patriots safety Patrick Chung said Amendola was always a handful in practice.“Danny’s the man,” Chung said. “He’s a small dude, but he’s stronger than you think and he’s feisty. He’s going to be ready for us.”EVOLVING IDENTITYEarly this season, opponents took advantage of a New England defense that struggled to get pressure up front and was susceptible in the secondary to big plays. The Patriots appear to be tightening up at the right time. They haven’t allowed a 300-yard passer in five consecutive games, or a 100-yard rusher in nine consecutive games. That’s a vast improvement for a unit that gave up 30 or more points three times in the first seven games, including a season-high 40 in narrow win over Kansas City.Belichick said the improvement is part of an evolving identity in the first season with linebackers coach Brian Flores making defensive calls.COMEBACK QBTannehill has a passer rating of 112.7 with five touchdowns and one interception in two games since returning from an injury to his throwing shoulder. The performances come amid growing speculation about whether the Dolphins will bring him back next season.“I have a long way to go to get where I want to be,” he said. “I think I’m doing all right, but a lot of plays I’d like to be better at. I think we have a lot better football in front of us as an offense.”MILESTONE WATCHBrady enters Sunday tied with Peyton Manning for the most touchdown passes in NFL history Kendall Sheffield Jersey , including playoffs.Manning and Brady both have 579 TD tosses, followed by Brett Favre (552) and Drew Brees (547). The 508 regular-season touchdown passes by Brady and Favre trail Manning (539) and Brees (518) on the career list. A city spokeswoman says Monday that there were several acts of vandalism where windows were smashed and some injuries were reported around light poles pulled down Sunday night when crowds gathered to celebrate the Eagles 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots.
The city said that other than a ”handful of bad actors” the celebrations were peaceful.
The Philadelphia Fire Department said Sunday was an average day that included nearly 800 EMS incidents, about 150 fire incidents, seven structure fires and ”1 Super Bowl championship.”

Bud Light is spilling the details on how Philadelphia can cash in on its promise of free beer for the city now that the Eagles have won the Super Bowl.
They’re making good on a summertime deal with Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson.
The company tweeted that 25 bars along the parade route will be offering free Bud Light to patrons.
The deal came after Johnson said in an interview last summer that should the Eagles win the Super Bowl, he would give out beer ”to everybody.”
Bud Light tweeted to Johnson ”Let’s make a bet. Win it all and the party is on us. Deal?”
The beer maker went on to change its catchphrase ”Dilly Dilly” to ”Philly Philly” celebrating the Eagles playoff run.

Twelve people were taken to the hospital and six people were arrested during a post-Super Bowl disturbance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
A university spokesman says about 2,000 people gathered outdoors at the Southwest Residential Area after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 on Sunday night.
Campus police says fights broke out, the crowd threw objects and set off smoke bombs and firecrackers. Police used pepper balls to disperse the crowd and the area was cleared by 11:30 p.m.
Those transported to hospitals suffered from head injuries, lacerations and alcohol intoxication.
Police say those arrested face criminal charges, and if they are students they face puni
Nola stuck out nine in seven splendid innings Jordan Scarlett Jersey , Nick Williams hit a two-run homer and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-1 Wednesday to sweep a two-game interleague series.
Nola (11-2) gave up one run and seven hits to win his fifth straight decision.
He escaped a jam on his 103rd pitch when second baseman Cesar Hernandez made an outstanding, over-the-shoulder running catch on Machado’s shallow fly to right with two outs and runners on first and third.
”That’s awesome,” Nola said of the play.
Kapler, who was heavily criticized for pulling Nola after 68 pitches in the season opener at Atlanta, visited the mound before letting his ace face Machado with a 2-1 lead.
”We knew he was the best option,” the first-year manager said. ”He always makes us feel confident.”
Nola said he would’ve lobbied to stay in but didn’t have to say anything other than he felt fine.
”I want to go deep in the game,” he said. ”I want to get through that inning.”
After five consecutive losing seasons, the Phillies are on the rise under Kapler. They pulled within 1 1/2 games of NL East-leading Atlanta and moved 10 games over .500 for the first time since finishing the 2011 season with a franchise-record 102 wins.
”It’s a nice milestone, one we can celebrate,” Kapler said.
Making his second career start and third appearance, Orioles right-hander Yefry Ramirez (0-2) retired 13 of his first 14 batters before running into trouble in the fifth. Ramirez gave up two runs – one earned – and one hit in five innings.
”I was really proud of Yefry. You couldn’t ask for much better,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said.
Williams connected off David Hess in the seventh, sending a 409-foot shot into Philadelphia’s bullpen in right-center and extending the lead to 4-1.
Victor Arano tossed two scoreless innings for his first career save.
Ramirez didn’t allow a hit until Scott Kingery ripped a one-out double to left in the fifth. Williams Greedy Williams Jersey , who walked, advanced to third on the hit.
Jorge Alfaro followed with a grounder down the first-base line. Chris Davis moved a few steps to his left, took his eyes off the ball to look at Williams running halfway down the line, and the ball knuckled under his glove. Both runners scored on the error.
Adam Jones lined an RBI double to left-center in the third, giving the Orioles a 1-0 lead.
WELCOMING MANNY
For the second straight day, fans clapped each time Machado was introduced. They also chanted ”We want Manny!”
The three-time All-Star is set to become a free agent after the season and the Phillies are among the teams interested in acquiring him before the non-waiver trade deadline on July 31 or signing him in the offseason.
Machado told reporters before the game he wants to play shortstop wherever he goes and he wouldn’t be surprised if Philadelphia aggressively pursued him. Phillies team president Andy MacPhail held the same position in Baltimore when the Orioles selected Machado No. 3 overall in the 2010 amateur draft.
TRAINER’S ROOM
Orioles: OF Joey Rickard was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to replace OF Colby Rasmus, who was placed on the restricted list before Tuesday night’s game.
Phillies: RHP Jerad Eickhoff was scheduled to throw another live batting practice at Single-A Clearwater. Eickhoff has nerve issue in fingers and hasn’t pitched this season.

Orioles: RHP Andrew Cashner (2-8, 4.48 ERA) starts the opener of a four-game series at Minnesota on Thursday night. Cashner had a 3.21 ERA in five starts in June but didn’t earn a win.
Phillies: Nick Pivetta (5-7, 4.66 ERA) takes the mound at Pittsburgh for the start of a three-game series on Friday. Pivetta earned the win in a scoreless inning of relief in Philadelphia’s 13-inning victory over Washington last Sunday.

METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Drew Brees dismisses the notion that the Saints‘ recent downturn in scoring is a sign of vulnerability.Either that or the 18-year veteran knows better than to acknowledge their past three opponents might have been on to something.“Bottom line is this: Regardless of how those games played out for the first 3 1/2 quarters, we went into these last two games on the road, in the division, down at half http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/justice-hill-jersey-authentic , down going into the fourth quarter and found a way to win,” said Brees, whose nose remained scuffed up from a sack on Monday night.“Whether it’s a special teams play, a blocked punt, or a great punt down inside the 10, or a defensive stop, or the defense getting a turnover, or offensively possessing the ball and going and getting points and giving us the lead, everyone has contributed. And it’s good to feel like, man, battle tested,” Brees continued.“And regardless of the scenario or circumstances we encounter for the rest of the year or any given game, we always have a chance. We always have hope and we’re confident.”The Saints currently average 32.8 points Ben Powers Jersey , which ranks second in the NFL. They are also 12-2 and one victory away from clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. But they have fallen from the league lead in scoring because in 10 of their past 12 quarters, they’ve struggled to sustain drives and score, and have been beset by a relative rash of turnovers and penalties. The Saints scored just 10 points in a loss at Dallas in Week 13, had only three points at halftime of a 28-14 win at Tampa Bay the following week, and are coming off a 12-9 victory at Carolina on Monday night.Brees said the Saints’ 64-yard, fourth-quarter drive at Carolina that consumed 7:07 illustrated why his confidence in New Orleans’ offense hasn’t wavered, even though the possession ended with no points when Tommylee Lewis fumbled through the end zone for a touchback.“We convert a couple third downs, a fourth down,” Brees said. “We got the ball with 8:51 left, right? And really had a chance to run the clock out if we get that last first down.“It’s those types of drives that I’m talking about that can really help the team when we need it.”Meanwhile, two veteran offensive starters are close to returning from injury.Receiver Ted Ginn, who went on injured reserve following arthroscopic knee surgery in Week 6, returned to practice on Wednesday and said he could be ready to play as soon as Sunday http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/iman-marshall-jersey-authentic , when New Orleans hosts Pittsburgh. Left tackle Terron Armstead said he is close to returning from a torn pectoral muscle, but stopped short of predicting whether he’d play this weekend.Saints coach Sean Payton said his offense has been hindered by “things that tangibly we can look at and clean up,” such as New Orleans’ nine penalties for 80 yards at Carolina.“This past week, we shot ourselves in the foot quite a bit,” Payton said. “On the road at Dallas, that’s a good defense and we felt it was going to be a low-scoring game.”Steelers coach Mike Tomlin hardly sounded inclined to acknowledge New Orleans’ recent anemia on offense.“It seems like every week Drew is breaking a new record,” Tomlin said, adding that Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram “are awesome both in the running and passing game.”“They are formidable for all of those reasons and others,” Tomlin said.Saints right guard Larry Warford said he senses that recent slippage on offense stems more from miscues and missed assignments than anything opposing defenses have done.“You kind of lose focus with that stuff sometimes,” Warford said. “But having these last three games, being able to look at it, we know now it’s just like, ‘All right Trace McSorley Jersey , we’ve got to get our fundamentals back together because we’re slacking on the simple stuff, and it’s the easy stuff that we can control.’“We’re not worried about what people are saying about defenses figuring it out.”A return to the Superdome, where the Saints are 5-1 and averaging 38 points per game, also could help.“You always have that advantage at home — familiar place, familiar crowd. You get better communication, especially throughout the offensive line,” Warford said.“We’re looking forward to getting back to the dome and trying to light it up.”
Big-name http://www.coltsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-bobby-okereke-jersey , expensive free agent signings inspire fans, sparking the belief that this year will be the year that their team makes it to the playoffs and wins the Super Bowl. Nowadays, many teams are restricted by NFL salary cap rules and cannot afford the top available free agents. They must instead settle for a next-best-option and hope that the player out-performs his price tag. Until the season is underway, no one knows which Free Agents will thrive with their new teams and which ones will tank, but that’s exactly what makes free agency so exciting. While some players quickly integrate well with their new teams and make an immediate impact, it sometimes happens that a free agent never lives up to the contract he signed. Making the transition from one team to another is not easy for all NFLers, especially players who have been lucky enough to play under one system throughout their entire careers. There are new playbooks to memorize, new coaches to obey, and, most importantly, new teammates to develop chemistry with. The following is a list of recent free agent signings that teams regret making, along with the available Free Agent that the team should have targeted. Although many of these signings occurred during the 2018 offseason, the fallout from these deals is already apparent 10 weeks into the season. It’s already clear which teams overpaid, and which players are not delivering the way they were expected to. ENGLEWOOD Khari Willis Jersey , Colo. (AP) — Chris Harris Jr. finally feels appreciated — financially.“Oh yeah, definitely more satisfied for what I do on the field. I definitely get more respect around the league for what I’ve done and I mean, that’s what it’s about,” Harris said Wednesday following his first workout with the Denver Broncos this offseason.“You want to feel appreciated for the work that you’ve done and the work that you’re about to put in.“I’m about to put in more work. You can talk about the past, of what I’ve done. But I’m excited about the future, about what I’m about to do.”The Broncos’ four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro returned to the team after general manager John Elway agreed to give him a $3 million raise this season , bumping his salary to $12.05 million. That’s more in line with what the league’s other elite cornerbacks are making and it’s a significant bump for a player who signed a $2,000 bonus coming out of college nine years ago and who played the past four seasons on a team-friendly deal that paid him an average of about $8 million a year.Asked who won the standoff, Harris, who called his absence a “roller-coaster offseason,” demurred.“Oh man, it wasn’t about winning,” Harris said . “It was just about getting back to the field. And winning games on the field. So, that’s the only thing I’m worried about. I’m not even worried about the dispute or anything. Everything’s in the past and now it’s just about winning football games.”Harris Josh Allen Jersey , who turns 30 in June, skipped the Broncos’ first two months of offseason workouts hoping to get an extension averaging about $15 million, something Elway wouldn’t budge on.“I thought I was going to get traded, I did, at one time in the offseason,” Harris said.Eventually, both sides settled on a raise this year from the $8.9 million Harris was due, which included a $1 million option bonus paid out in March. The raise made Harris the highest-paid cornerback on the team, just ahead of newcomer Kareem Jackson, whose three-year, $33 million free agent deal included a $9 million signing bonus and $3 million salary this season.Although Harris is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, Elway hinted that the Broncos could seek to keep him in Denver , tweeting “this contract adjustment recognizes his value to our team and the high expectations we have for Chris as a Bronco this season and hopefully for years to come.”Harris said he would love to stay in Denver beyond this season.“I’m going to do my thing and then at the end of the year or whatever, I’m definitely going to give them a fair chance http://www.jaguarsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jawaan-taylor-jersey , for sure,” he said. The last remaining member of the “No Fly Zone” secondary that was the backbone of Denver’s Super Bowl 50 triumph, Harris is the only defensive back in the NFL with multiple interceptions in each of the past seven seasons.Harris said Denver’s new defense, which features more zone coverage and more versatile defensive backs, is the kind of scheme he’s long been advocating and should allow him to make even more plays on the football.“Now, I don’t have to cover a guy in man-to-man and cover him all over the field like I have in the past. Now, I can read and I think my picks will go way up because I’m going to have a chance to read the quarterback more,” Harris said. “I’ll get a chance to show you all a different skillset.”Harris spent several weeks working out with his personal trainer in Dallas and said he could learn new coach Vic Fangio’s defense in a day.Fangio wasn’t so sure.“He told me he’ll learn fast, but I have to see it, not hear it,” said Fangio.Harris is eager to show Fangio and 31 other head coaches he’s still an elite cornerback who deserves to be compensated like one.“Every time I step on this field I’m going to bring a swagger to this defense,” Harris said. “I’m going to bring a different mentality to this defense and I’m ready to take on whomever.”
Quarterbacks are the faces of NFL clubs and also the most important players for all of the teams in a league that emphasizes passing attacks over any other facet of the game. Take a look at the list of teams that have won Super Bowl championships over the past decade. It isn’t a coincidence that the majority of them can boast about the fact that they feature franchise quarterbacks who have easily earned the money paid to them via their contracts and who have the goods to lead any team to January football games and http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/shareef-miller-jersey-cheap , in the right situations, to Super Bowl contests. A championship NFL quarterback is worth his weight in gold and any salary cap value attached to his contract. Obviously, not every quarterback selected in the first round of an NFL Draft becomes a Superstar capable of carrying a team to division titles and championship contests. Some are known as the biggest busts to ever be drafted by any franchise. Two of the biggest draft busts in NFL history are quarterbacks who failed to live up to their potentials and who couldn’t handle being starters for different reasons. Even with those cautionary tales in mind, teams will still take risks on quarterbacks in first rounds so long as the NFL exists. The hope is that such players will turn into versions of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or even Dak Prescott rather than becoming busts who aren’t worth the investment. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dak Prescott saw an opening up the middle, then three defenders between him and the first down. The Dallas quarterback found a way to get there, and get his first playoff victory two years after a sensational rookie season ended in disappointment.Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 137 yards and the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, Prescott scored on a sneak after his dazzling head-over-heels run and the Cowboys hung on for a 24-22 wild-card win over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night.Article continues below ...The win for the Cowboys (11-6) was the first for Elliott and Prescott after losing a divisional game in their playoff debut as first-year stars two years ago. You can’t do that without taking care of the first one. A lot of excitement, but my goal is bigger than just one playoff win.”The loss ended a run of nine straight victories in playoff openers for the Seahawks (10-7). The Elias Sports Bureau says it was the longest streak in NFL history.Leading 17-14, Prescott faced third-and-14 from the Seattle 17 with the 2-minute warning approaching. He took off up the middle on a QB draw, barged through a trio of defenders 6 yards short of the first and went down at the 1 when he was flipped head-first by Tedric Thompson.Prescott, who also had an 11-yard scoring pass to Michael Gallup in the first half, scored on the next play in the eighth win in nine games for the Cowboys.“He’s just a rare guy,” coach Jason Garrett said. “His leadership Devin Bush Jersey , his toughness, just his way, his spirit. It’s like none other. Somehow, some way, he’s going to figure this thing out for us.”Dallas’ defense, ranked in the top 10 most of the season, stifled the NFL’s No. 1 rushing offense and mostly kept quarterback Russell Wilson under control and handed him his first loss in four wild-card games. The Seahawks had finished the regular season with six wins in seven games to secure Wilson’s sixth playoff trip in seven years despite a roster overhaul and 0-2 start.“This has been a special, special year,” Wilson said. “Just the growth of our team http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore.com/diontae-johnson-jersey-cheap , the men in the locker room, just the way that we’ve played together, just eliminating the doubters and the things that people thought that we could only do.”Prescott, the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2016 when the Cowboys lost to Green Bay at home as the top seed in the NFC, threw for 226 yards, and his sneak for what appeared to be a clinching score because Dallas burned more than five minutes while taking 24-14 lead. But Tyler Lockett’s 53-yard catch set up a quick Seattle touchdown — Wilson’s 7-yard scoring pass to J.D. Punter Michael Dickson’s drop kick was caught by Cole Beasley at the Dallas 31, sealing the first playoff win for the Cowboys since beating Detroit in the wild-card round in the 2014 season. After Wilson ran for 4 yards for a touchdown and Mike Davis‘ 2-point conversion run put Seattle up 14-10 late in the third quarter, Prescott led a 67-yard drive to put the Cowboys back in front for good.A 34-yard pass to Amari Cooper , who had seven catches for 106 yards Justin Layne Jersey , led to Elliott’s 1-yard plunge after an apparent touchdown by the quarterback was overturned on replay.Prescott then had a chance to give the Cowboys a 10-point lead, but K.J. Wright made a juggling interception in the end zone.Dallas’ defense came through again, though, forcing a punt and giving Elliott a highlight play before Prescott added his. The NFL rushing leader stiff-armed Shaquill Griffin on a 17-yard run to get inside the 20.Seattle got a double dose of bad news at halftime when Janikowski missed a 57-yard field goal on the final play and injured his left hamstring. He yelled as he grabbed the back of his leg and limped to the locker room, unable to return.Still, the Seahawks took their first lead basically because the 40-year-old’s injury forced them to try.Facing fourth-and-5 in Janikowski’s range from the Dallas 39, Doug Baldwin made a toe-dragging catch on the sideline for 22 yards. After Wilson’s TD run, the Seahawks pushed their lead to 14-10 on Mike Davis’ run.But the Cowboys never did lose control of the Seattle running game after allowing Chris Carson’s first career 100-yard game in a Week 3 Seattle win that turned the season for the Seahawks, who finished the regular season with six wins in seven games.Carson had just 20 yards on 13 carries.
